Photo Painting: Where we turn ordinary snapshots
Into Extraordinary Pieces of Fine Art

For the past 4-5 years, we have been preparing to offer Digital Painting. Now, with CanDew know-how & attitude, WE CAN!
Studying under renowned artist Fay Sirkis, mastering current software, and constantly working with new tools, we feel that we have a new & unique service to offer you; Fine Art paintings from photographs!

Also, since we have many years as a Photoshop professional, typographer & graphic designer we can take those skills, mix and blend them together and offer unique & creative products & services, all in one place.

Photo painting is done digitally primarily using Corel Painter 11 with a mix of Photoshop and various other software. Whether you want a "painterly" look, or just a softer look & feel, this is where there are no creative limits. Add texture, definition, depth, and color; or, remove an unsightly object, background or soften up harsh lights. The possibilities are truly endless!

Marilyn Sholin (author, instructor, professional photo painter) stated on my FaceBook page, "Your work is amazing... !"

The family portrait shown above was one of my biggest challenges to date. The original photo above was only 50K in size. That is extremely low resolution. The job came in about 10 days before Christmas and was ordered as a Christmas present for his wife; to be printed as a 12" x 18" canvas wrap. When I asked Rick (the client) about the glasses because of the glare that is in the pix, he asked that I remove the glasses and he emailed me a couple of pix of him not wearing any glasses. The tough part was the images that he sent were a few years old, luckily I was finally able to meet him in person and then I had a much better idea of what he really looked like. The job was extremely well received and later I received an email from Rick stating that his wife and the entire family loved the portrait. We even got all the eye colors correctly. Here are a few close ups to show detail and brush strokes.

Below is another photo painting that has received rave reviews. The images on a web page just can't show the brilliance and detail of an actual print on canvas.
